Third-grade adventures – “Spectacular Family Holidays in Brazil” by Noah
Last June my mom, dad and I went for holidays to one of the most wonderful beaches in Brazil. Imagine a warm beach with white sand where turtles come to lay their eggs and there is even a turtle sanctuary! We stayed there for two weeks. What I liked most was the beach because I got to swim in the ocean, which was warm and perfect for swimming. I also built sand castles, dams, deep holes and volcanoes on the white sand. Me and my parents also visited the turtle sanctuary, which was by the beach. I was able to see lots of turtles, really tiny ones to huge ones. I liked this really much.
The second thing I liked a lot was the food because it is different from Canada, it tastes delicious and the smell is different. They use different spices and a lot of coconut. There were lots of coconut trees close to the beach. Many of the trees were small so I was able to pick the coconuts. I could open them there and drink a lot of coconut water which was fabulous.
Finally, I also greatly enjoyed playing with my friends and family at the beach. We played tag, soccer, volleyball, and built sandcastles and dams. We also went on a special boat ride to a small island in the ocean. This was fantastic. These were some of the fun things I did on my holidays in Brazil with my family. I really want to go back some time.
