Third-grade adventures – “Hawaiian adventure” by Aarjan

Crash! The waves hit the sand. My and my family went to Hawaii in January 2019. It was a wild experience. We stayed at the magical Disney Aulani resort. We went to the wet, slippery water slides. We went there almost every day. We went to Aunty’s beach house where we played video games while our parents did their own thing. You can also do an activity like paint surfboards with the Disney character Goofy. Everyday Disney characters would walk around and you can take photos with them. My favourite characters were Stitch and Duffy the big furry bear.

One bright day, we went to the mall called Ala Moana. It is an outdoor mall. We ate cheeseburgers at the food court which were delicious. Then we went to a shop that sells Fortnite toys, souvenirs and t-shirts. We went to Target looking for cool toys but sadly we found none. Lastly, we went to the playground which was a climbing zone. Going to the mall was a fun way to spend the afternoon.

During this trip, we rented a red Jeep Wrangler which was very shiny. I sat in the back seat and the sun was burning on my body. We took the Jeep around the island.  We drove to North beach from Waikiki where we went snorkeling and it was cold. Driving around the island was chill and relaxing.

This trip was one of the best trips I went on with my family and friends. Waikiki is a fun place with lots to do. I was sad to leave even though I spent 10 days on the island.
