Third-grade adventures – “In the Symphony of the Seas” by Reina
ZIIIIIIIP! FLUMP! Me and my sister were so excited as we packed our clothes in the new luggage mom had just bought for us. Our family were about to be headed to Miami in a few days!
After staying in Chicago for 4 hours, we were in a hotel on Miami for a night. Next, we were headed to a cruise ship called The Symphony of the Seas, which was our main destination. My mom had told us it was the biggest cruise ship in the world! She also told us the cruise ship had many performances and restaurants
On our first few days, we experienced watching the performances. There was one performance where people were ice skating on stage. I liked it because there was dancing, singing and a lot of music. Another performance was about the olden days.
One thing you should know about me: l love food!So l was extremely happy when I found out there were a bunch of restaurants in this cruise ship. My favourite restaurant was called Wonderland. It is based on the story, ”Alice in Wonderland”. To get there , you have to crawl under a rabbit hole. The chairs in this restaurant were fancy and comfy. Also, when my sister and I opened the kids menu, wisps of white smoke came out! Sadly, it was too expensive so we could only go there once.
When it was almost time to go home, we went to an island called Coco. We were planning to pet wild stingrays when it started raining! We didn’t know what would happen, so we kept walking. (It was raining so hard that the sand was stuck in my shoes. It was so uncomfortable that I was the slowest one.)
When we finally got there, we found out everything was cancelled! I was really disappointed, but the rain had stopped. It was just a bit windy and moist. My sister, dad, and I wrote words in the sand. It said:
Dad ❤️ Elisa
(My little sister is Elisa)
Next, mom took some pictures of us in front of the beach. I had to admit, they looked pretty awesome! We didn’t feel it, but it had become windier and moist and, the next thing we knew, it had started to rain again! Luckily, Mom spotted a shuttle nearby. We hopped into it and it stopped near a fountain. My dad and I washed our feet and we went back into the cruise ship. The next day, we went back home and I knew we would go back to the Symphony of the Seas again next year.
