Third-grade adventures – “Trip to Iceland” by Amelia

In Iceland. I was 8 years old. I went with my mom and brother to Iceland.

In the blue lagoon in Iceland. The blue lagoon was very cool, but when I found out that I needed to wear a floaty. I was not going in the lagoon!!!

I eventually did go into the Lagoon. It was so fun we got to go inside this rock cave in the water. It was so cool. I also got a lemonade…in the water!!!

Iceland was a little colder than home in Vancouver.

We went to see the puffins on a small island. We couldn’t go on the island for a couple of reasons that I didn’t get. I went on the boat to see the puffins. I had to wear a life jacket on the boat, I was not happy but then I thought about how lucky I was to even be here. I was happy in the end. Every person on the boat got a pair of binoculars, to look at the puffins. It smelled like salt water! After we finished,we went back to the hotel and we had a good dinner but the only part that was not good was the………Mussels mom ordered!!!

The mussels were gross for me and my brother!!!

When my brother tried one he bit it and then threw it on the floor and  I almost died of laughter. It was soooooooooo funny!!! Then it was my turn to try a mussel!I tried it and pretty much did the same thing as my brother.

I had a very fun time in Iceland with my mom and my brother. I really want to go back again!!!
