Third-grade adventures – “Family Adventures To Mauritius” by Sloane
While students were attending classes remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic, we reached out to our neighbours at St. John’s Junior School to see if they’d like a project writing about their favourite travel experience. We were overwhelmed with interest from the grade 3 students. We’re thrilled to be able to post their creative, humorous and informative stories right here on our news page! In this special travel series, we will be posting one story per week. So stay tuned and keep checking back. They have shared some excellent tips!’
“Family Adventures To Mauritius”
In 2018 me and my family went to Mauritius. It is a place where every where has beaches and beautiful hotels!
We got to switch hotels to see different parts of the island. The hotels we stayed at were beautiful. Right out the front door was a gorgeous beach with sand as smooth as a plate and the water was as blue as a sapphire!
Me and almost my whole family went to this cafe and there was delicious food there! The food was roti, mochi and pistachio ice cream and more Mauritian foods.
After that we went to a safari park. There were loooooooooooooads of tortoises! Their texture was wrinkly but in a good way!
I think Mauritius is definitely one of my top five trips. It was so delightful!
