Vaccine Series Interruption
The current situation with Novel Coronavirus has been an enormous adjustment for all of us. Currently, we are unable to arrange an appointment for services we routinely accessed before self-isolation. When our clinic closed, we were forced to cancel follow up vaccine appointments for clients requiring more than one dose to complete their vaccine series. Below are answers to the questions we have recently received from our clients:
Will delaying my vaccine series or booster dose affect the immune response?
No. The immune response will not be depleted if your vaccine series is delayed.
Will I have to start the vaccine series over again?
No. If the vaccine series is interrupted you do not need to restart the vaccine series. You will still obtain long-term protection when you complete the series.
Vaccines requiring three doses
If you have started a vaccine series that requires three doses: (hepatitis B, Twinrix, or HPV), the third and final dose will be administered following the routine spacing between doses 2 and 3.
