Third-grade adventures – “Family Trip To Asia” by Liam

My family and I went to Singapore and Taiwan in December, 2019.  My uncle, cousins and grandfather flew from the Philippines to meet us.  We planned this trip for a year so everyone is really excited.

We went to Universal Studios in Singapore.  There was a bunch of fun stuff to do. There were rides, 3D shows and food that was delicious.  We also went to the Art, Science Museum.  The Art, Science Museum was really fun because there were a lot of cool things inside.  One of the cool things is that you make a drawing of a fish, after you do that you scan it with this QR code and you will see your fish on this video wall, swimming in water with other fish that other people made.

The most surprising thing in the trip is having Christmas Dinner with Marcus.  Marcus is a student that used to be in SJS.  Marcus lives in Shanghai, his family flew to Singapore to meet us.  Also Marcus did not know it was me.  We talked and played and I was really happy seeing him.

The day before going back to Vancouver, our plane ticket got cancelled because a Volcano erupted in the Philippines. We waited in the airport almost the whole day.  Also we had Lunch there too.  My parents had to buy new plane tickets.

When we got our plane tickets, we were able to go back home to Vancouver.  It was an exciting trip!  I hope to have another family trip soon.
