Tuberculosis Skin Testing
Certain professions require you to be up to date with vaccinations and Tuberculosis skin test screening. In preparation for your school program or career, we can make this process as easy as possible for you!
Tb skin testing requires two appointments.
You will need to book TWO appointments (48-72 hours apart with one of our experienced registered nurses.
Appointment #1: A small amount (0.1mL) of test serum is injected under the first layers of skin on your forearm. The test serum is made of the purified protein derived from the tuberculosis bacteria.
Appointment #2: A Registered Nurse will assess the area on your forearm where the test was administered. Documentation will be provided with the results of your TB skin test.
Your TB skin testing appointment can also include an occupational health consultation if you need any vaccines for school or employment.
